Second Road Safety Meeting in Maldonado

Approximately 500 children, adolescents and organizations attended the event, organized by the Liga de Fomento de Punta del Este and the Liga de Fomento Educa. 

Activities to raise awareness about the importance of road safety took place from 9.30am to 6pm. The presentations were held at the Punta del Este Conference Room; the speakers were psychologists Alejandro de Barbieri, Allen Botrill and Roberto Balaguer, who discussed the consumption of alcohol by teenagers.

Road crash simulations were performed at the parking lot with the presence of all stakeholders involved (Fire Brigade, Police, Municipal staff). 

The Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, through it Training and Institutional Relations Coordinator, Mathías Silva, provided information on the different types of child restraint systems, and advice on their correct installation.
