Reinforcing the use of safety elements by motorcyclists

On October 25, two interventions were carried out in different crossings of Montevideo selected for their constant flow of motorcyclists according to data collected by the Montevideo Municipality Traffic Department.

The first point of the activity took place during the morning in Colón neighborhood, at the intersection of César Mayo Gutiérrez and Calderón de la Barca. In addition to the delivery of vests, motorcyclists received an information brochure, developed by Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, with recommendations for adults who transport children on motorcycles and mandatory safety measures included in Act 19.061.

The intervention, carried out with traffic inspectors, was well received by motorcyclists and cyclists circulating in the area, as well as by staff from nearby polyclinics and schools.

In the afternoon, the second part of the action was conducted on the corner of Ariel and Quicuyo, in Sayago neighborhood, where approximately 400 reflective vests were delivered together with informative material.

With this type of actions, together with government agencies committed to improving traffic safety, Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez continues on the path of contributing to a safer mobility for all citizens.
