“This training is one of many diverse courses of action taken by the Foundation with the goal of empowering all who are involved in traffic safety. We hope to promote safe and sustainable transportation in Uruguay and Latin America and initiatives like this help us achieve our goals,” affirmed Nani Rodriguez, the President of the Gonzalo Rodriguez Foundation.
This training was part of the project “Raising Awareness Around Traffic Safety,” developed by the Foundation, which works to place traffic safety on the government agenda and increase technical knowledge regarding vehicles in Uruguay. In 2018, 528 Uruguayans died and more than 26,000 were seriously injured in traffic accidents. Because of this, the development of strategies to change these unfortunate outcomes is key.
