The first session, on Thursday, May 25, was led by Mathías Silva, Child Passenger Safety expert from the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez. At this first session, eleven enforcers, of a total of more than 100, were trained.
Aiming to increase the number of children traveling in Child Restraint System in the province, the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez together with the Municipality of Canelones and the BSE will set up several Check Up events in different areas in the province.
The first Check Up Event* with enforcers trained on Thursday took place on May 28 at the northern parking lot at the Costa Urbana Shopping (Ciudad de la Costa).
*The Check-Up Event is an activity in which, staff from Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, trained by Safe Kids Worldwide (organization promoting several global programs on child safety), provide advice to adults in charge of transporting children in private vehicles on the correct installation of Child Restraint Systems (CRS) for their children to travel safely.
