There is no single measure to successfully address the challenges posed by child road safety. To prevent every fatality, evidence-based policy making is critical. The systematization of experiences in Latin America and the Caribbean and the development of case studies contribute to bridging the evidence gap that informs policy development in the region. To this end, the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez (FGR) explores the design and implementation of a complex intervention jointly promoted by the National Traffic Safety Commission (CONASET) of Chile's Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications (MTT), FGR and Fundación FIA, aimed at reducing child fatalities in road crashes by promoting and strengthening the use of child restraint systems.
