In the context of the activities carried out as a tribute to Gonzalo "Gonchi" Rodríguez, the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez organized an exclusive show of the film “GONCHI, la película”, at the Movie Center in Portones Shopping Mall, on September 8, at 1pm, for students and teachers of the Basic Professional Training Plan (FPB) from the Technical Schools in Malvín Norte and Flor de Maroñas.

The film functioned as input for the students to discuss the importance of seeking life projects that motivate them to achieve their objectives.

Before the film, María Fernanda “Nani” Rodríguez, President of Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, made a motivational speech sharing her experience as Gonchi´s sister and the decision of perpetuating his brother through positive memories.

"Nani" said that what she did not want her brother´s last image to be of "people crying at his funeral", she thought she had to do something "to change those tears for smiles".

She stated that Gonchi had taught her to be "respectful and educated. That sense of humor is important, and that we need to be thankful, always having time for those getting to you". And she concluded: "A person´s values are what make them immortal, that is why everybody remembers my brother so well".

After the film, "Nani" answered questions and commentaries from the students and teachers that showed great enthusiasm and were inspired by the life of this beloved Uruguayan driver.
